Whilst attending my uncles funeral many years ago, a local celebrant officiated the ceremony. He did such a wonderful personalised service the seed to do something similar was planted in my head. So after a few years of deliberating I decided to take the plunge and enrolled and trained with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants as a Specialist Funeral Celebrant.

I have been living in Spain (and Spanish speaking areas) since 1997 and Nerja for the last 16 years. After many years in the Tourist industry I decided I wanted to do something to really help people when they are at their most vulnerable.

I am working alone and have an independent working relationship with all of the local funeral homes in the Axarquia (east of Málaga). I conduct ceremonies in English to the English speaking community, whilst liaising with the Funeral Directors in their local language.
